About Healing Dance

Healing Dance is a powerful and beautiful aquatic technique developed by Alexander George in 1993. It incorporates many aspects of Watsu, while including the healing power of movement. The essence of Healing Dance is flow, freedom and lightness. The practitioner "dances" the receiver while the body moves naturally through the water. While much of the practice takes place on the surface of the water, underwater movements may be incorporated as well.

Healing Dance appeals to those who love water and want to surrender to the power of movement. More than any other aquatic technique, it is a dance. It offers the experience of physical freedom, which can be especially poignant for the people who find it difficult to stand or walk. It also appeals to the athlete, martial artist, swimmer, diver, dancer and would-be dancer.
